Setting up future meetings with participants using Teams calendar or Outlook integration
Try these fixes in order:
- Check whether the Teams add-in was disabled in Outlook.
- In Outlook Desktop, select File > Manage COM Add-ins.
- Find Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office.
- Select Do not monitor this add-in for the next 30 days. If that option is not available, select Always enable this add-in.
- Select Apply and Close.
- Re-enable it from Disabled Items if needed.
- In Outlook, go to File > Options > Add-ins.
- In Manage, select Disabled items, then select Go.
- If Teams appears there, select it and choose Enable.
- Restart Outlook.
- If this started after moving to New Teams, force the add-in to reinstall.
- Right-click Start > Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
- Search for Teams Meeting Add-in and uninstall it.
- Close Outlook.
- Quit Teams from the system tray.
- Restart New Teams.
- When Teams Meeting Add-in appears again in Installed Apps, restart Outlook.
- Verify required components are installed.
- The Teams Meeting add-in requires .NET Framework 4.8 and WebView2.
- To check WebView2, open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features and confirm Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is listed.
- Optional prevention step if Outlook keeps disabling the add-in.
- Warning: editing the registry can affect Outlook if done incorrectly.
- Open Registry Editor.
- Go to
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Resiliency\DoNotDisableAddinList. - Create a DWORD (32-bit) value named
TeamsAddin.FastConnectand set it to1.
If the issue is specifically with an Outlook.com account, the Teams Meeting add-in in Outlook Desktop does not work with Outlook.com accounts and is not currently available for Teams for home or small business using an Outlook.com account. In that case, create meetings in Teams on the web or in the Teams desktop app instead.
