Setting up future meetings with participants using Teams calendar or Outlook integration
Hello Brian Shroyer,
Thank you for reaching out.
Could you please confirm whether you are currently using Classic Outlook or New Outlook for Windows? If possible, please also share a screenshot of the complete Outlook window showing where the Teams Meeting icon is missing. Please hide any email addresses, meeting details, or other sensitive information before sharing it.
In the meantime, please try the following steps.
If you are using Classic Outlook, open Outlook and go to: File > Options > Add-ins
Please check whether "Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office" is listed under "Active Application Add-ins".
If the add-in is not active, return to: File > Options > Add-ins
Next to Manage, select Disabled Items, and then select Go. If the Teams Meeting Add-in appears there, select it, choose Enable, and restart Outlook.
If the add-in is missing or enabling it does not restore the Teams Meeting option, please follow Microsoft’s instructions to uninstall and reinstall the Teams Meeting Add-in: Teams Meeting add-in is missing in Outlook Desktop after updating to New Teams | Microsoft Support
Please also try refreshing the connection between Teams and Outlook:
- Sign out of both Teams and Outlook.
- Right-click the Teams and Outlook icons in the Windows system tray and select "Quit" to ensure Teams is not still running in the background.
- Open Teams first and sign in with your Microsoft 365 work or school account.
- Open Outlook and sign in with the same account.
- In Classic Outlook, open the New Email/New Items menu. If a Teams Sign in option appears, as shown in the screenshot, select it and complete the sign-in.
- Open the Outlook Calendar and check whether the Teams Meeting option has returned.
Please try these steps first and let me know whether the Teams Meeting option appears again. If it remains missing, please share the requested screenshot and confirm which Outlook version you are using.
Kind regards,
