Tracking, updating, and organizing tasks within Microsoft Teams or integrated apps
Power BI does not currently provide a native connector for standard Microsoft Planner task data. A common approach is to use Power Automate and SharePoint as an intermediary to make Planner tasks available for reporting in Power BI.
This approach allows you to report on tasks across multiple team members and Planner plans without using Microsoft Graph Explorer. The solution outlined in the Microsoft Fabric Community article uses Power Automate to extract Planner tasks and save them as a JSON file in SharePoint, which Power BI then consumes and transforms into a reporting dataset. Once loaded into Power BI, you can build reports based on task assignees, status, due dates, buckets, and other Planner attributes.
Additionally, Power BI is not currently supported in the Q&A forum. If you'd like more accurate and in-depth guidance on Power BI scenarios, I encourage you to post a question to the official Microsoft Power BI forum. In that community, subject matter experts and product experts can provide additional support.
I hope this helps.
