Our users are having the same issue. Our users use Global Secure Accecss with Microsoft Traffic Profile enabled. Disabling the GSA app allows OneDrive desktop app to login, with GSA enabled they cannot.

    Hi @Gary Velasquez

To better understand where the sign-in process is failing, could you clarify which step the login loop gets stuck at?

    • Does the grey window appear before you have a chance to enter your password?
    • Or does it occur after entering your password?
    • If your organization uses MFA, does the issue happen before or after the authentication prompt (Microsoft Authenticator, etc.)?
    • Are you able to sign in successfully to OneDrive on the web with the same work account?

In addition to the steps you've already tried, could you please test the following:

    1. Reset OneDrive
    2. Clear Microsoft credentials
      • Open Credential Manager > Windows Credentials.
      • Remove any entries related to:
      • OneDrive
      • MicrosoftOffice
      • ADAL
      • Restart the device and try signing in again.
    3. Test on a different network or if you're using a VPN, temporarily disconnect it and test again.

Please try and let me know more information so I can assist you better.

For a OneDrive sign-in loop on Windows, use this order:

    1. Verify the account can sign in outside the app.
      • Sign in to the Microsoft Account dashboard.
      • If sign-in fails there, fix the account sign-in issue first.
    2. Make sure OneDrive is up to date.
      • Install the latest OneDrive build from the official download page.
    3. Restart OneDrive.
      • Open Start and search for OneDrive.
      • Launch it again and try signing in.
    4. Clear cached OneDrive sign-in data on Windows.
      • Press Windows key + R.
      • Enter: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\settings
      • Select OK.
      • Delete PreSignInSettingsConfig.json.
      • Start OneDrive and try signing in again.
    5. If the loop continues, uninstall and reinstall OneDrive.
      • This is a safe step for synced files: uninstalling OneDrive does not delete files or data, and files remain accessible through OneDrive on the web.
    6. Check network blockers.
      • If sign-in still hangs, the issue may be caused by a firewall, VPN configuration, or the internet provider blocking access to Microsoft 365 services.
      • If possible, test on a different network such as a mobile hotspot.
    7. If this is a work or school account and the issue continues, contact the organization’s IT helpdesk or admin.

If the app is showing a gray OneDrive icon with a line through it, that indicates OneDrive is not signed in.
