Hi Sander,
Thank you for sharing the details of your situation. I appreciate the thorough troubleshooting you have already performed and the clear test results you have provided.
As this is a user-to-user community forum, I do not have the ability to directly access or modify your account or service. However, I can provide guidance, recommend next steps, share applicable resources, and direct you to the appropriate support channels so the issue can be investigated further.
Based on the behavior described, the Organizational Asset Library appears to be connected and generally accessible because PowerPoint can detect the first-level folders, display them as separate tabs, and retrieve the images under All. The issue seems to be specifically related to how Brand Images associates or filters images according to their SharePoint folder location.
Here are some additional steps you can try:
- Allow 24 to 48 hours for the newly uploaded image and folder information to be fully processed. Then check whether the image appears under the corresponding folder tab.
- If the image in the Test folder appears under All but not under the Test tab, temporarily move the same image to the library root and then move it back into the Test folder. This can help determine whether the image’s folder location is refreshed.
If the image continues to appear under All while the corresponding folder tab remains empty, the behavior may require further service-side investigation to determine whether there is an issue with folder-based filtering in Brand Images. In that case, you may consider reaching out to your organization’s IT team and asking them to open a support request with Microsoft Support through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
To help the support team review the tenant-side behavior and determine whether further escalation is required. Please include the following information:
- The SharePoint library URL and folder structure
- The approximate folder creation and image upload times
- Screenshots showing the image under All and the empty folder tab
- Results from both PowerPoint Desktop and PowerPoint for the web
- The PowerPoint and SharePoint Online Management Shell versions
- The minimal reproduction steps using the new Test folder and PNG file
