Managing meetings and events using Outlook on the web for business
Hi Kathryn,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.
At this time, when you edit the description of a meeting and save it in Outlook on the web, Outlook will automatically send a meeting update (Send Update) to the participants.
To make this change without sending a notification, you will need to use Outlook Classic.
You can open the meeting in Outlook Classic and edit the description. After making your changes, you can click Save instead of Send Update.
In addition, you may share this experience with the Microsoft product development team through the official feedback portal:
This is where Microsoft listens to customer feedback. If an idea or user experience receives significant interest and engagement from the community, Microsoft may consider adding a feature in the future that allows meeting content to be updated without sending notifications to participants.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.
I look forward to continuing the conversation.
