Additional meeting and call-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
Hi Lindsey,
If you're on a one-on-one call with one other person, you can transfer your end of the call to someone or an external phone
- When you're in a call, select More actions > Transfer in your call controls.
- Start typing the number or name of the person you want to transfer the call to and select them when they appear.
- If they're in your org and using Teams, turn on Ring back so if there's no answer, Teams Phone will send the call back to you if the recipient doesn't answer or has call forwarding set.
- Select Transfer to complete the transfer or the dropdown arrow to choose one of the following options:
- Work to transfer the call to their Teams number
- Work voicemail to send it straight to their voicemail
- Any other numbers (like their mobile number) they added to their account
However, please note:
- This feature is only available in the Teams desktop app, not the mobile app.
- If the option is missing despite having the right license, it may need to be enabled in the Teams admin center under Voice > Calling policies ("Voicemail is available for routing inbound calls").
