    Dear Irene Thomas,

I understand that the contacts and calendar stored in Outlook are not appearing after Outlook was set up on your new Mac.

This may happen if the account containing that data was not added correctly, was added as a mail-only IMAP account, or the information was stored locally on the previous device rather than online.

The Microsoft 365 trial provides the Outlook app, but the data displayed depends on the email account added to it.

    Please try the following:

    1. Sign in to Outlook on the web using the same email address. Check whether the expected contacts and calendar events appear there.
    2. In Outlook for Mac, open Outlook > Settings > Accounts and confirm that the correct email account is listed and shows no connection or authentication error.
    3. If this is a Gmail, Yahoo, or iCloud account, ensure it was added using the correct provider option and allowed to sync through Microsoft Cloud. Also, please verify that the account was not added as an IMAP account. IMAP synchronizes email only, not contacts or calendar events
    4. Open Help > Check for Updates, install all available Outlook updates, and restart the Mac.
    5. Check that the correct calendar is selected under My Calendars and that the correct contact list is selected in People.
    6. If the information appears online but not in Outlook, remove the account from Outlook, restart the Mac, and add it again using the correct provider option. Before doing this, ensure that any locally stored information is backed up.

Please let me know how it goes after trying these steps, and I'll be glad to continue looking into it with you.
