Organizing and accessing contact information in Outlook on the web for business
Dear @Grant Alessia,
To ensure I understand your request correctly and to support you as effectively as possible, I need more specific information from you:
- Are you using classic Outlook, new Outlook, Outlook on the web?
- Does the contact not work to open for every contact or only for one specific contact?
- When did the issue last work correctly, and were any Outlook or Windows updates installed around that time?
- Is this affecting all contacts, multiple contacts, or only one contact?
- Does the problem affect other users in your organization?
- Is there any error message, or does Outlook simply not respond?
- After clicking the icon, does Outlook freeze, or can you continue using it normally?
In the meantime, kindly try these steps:
If you are using Outlook on web:
Use InPrivate/Incognito mode
Open https://outlook.office.com in an InPrivate/Incognito window
Find the same contact.
Select the contact’s name or photo to open the profile card.
Select… and try the same button.
If it still does not work, this may be an account, policy, or Microsoft 365 service issue.
If you are using New Outlook:
Repair Outlook app
In Start Menu, open Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Outlook > three dots > Modify > Repair
If the issue remains, run Reset. Repair an Office application | Microsoft Support
I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction. Please try the steps above and let me know if they work. If not, we can continue working together to narrow this down.
The first response may not always resolve the issue right away, but with your help and more details, we can work toward a solution.
