Due to an issue, I needed to reinstall outlook on my phone. After reinstalling, I needed to sign back into my email and I'm encountering an issue. When the screen would usually pop up for Microsoft Authenticator to allow me to sign in, it just sits and infinitely buffers or just sits on a black screen. I've tried reinstalling again and clearing my cache with no luck. I am able to sign into my email on my desktop version of Outlook, but I really need this resolved so I can access my email on the go.

    Hi Grace,

Since you're using Android devices, this issue can happen with Android WebView. especially Samsung. Could you tell me if you use a Samsung or another device?

In the meantime, please follow the steps below:

    1. Settings -> Apps -> Search for "Android System WebView" -> App Details In Store -> Remove Updates
    2. Reboot
    3. Settings -> Apps -> Search for "Android System WebView" -> App Details In Store -> Update

Note: If "Android System WebView" doesn't appear in the app list, go to: Settings -> Google -> All services -> System Services -> Select "Android System WebView"

    4. Reboot
    5. Launch Outlook & log in.

I hope this provides enough clarity and helps you stay inform with your current situation.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.
