    Hi, Tara Olsen

Clipchamp can fail to import media even when cloud storage is available. The issue may instead involve the file format, damaged media, browser data, or insufficient temporary space on the computer.

Besides the solutions provided by the Q&A Assist, here are some suggestions you can try:

Test with one newly created file, such as a small JPG image or MP3 audio file. Clipchamp’s recommended formats include JPG or PNG for images and MP3, WAV, or OGG for audio.

If the test file uploads, resave the affected image through the Photos app as a new JPG or PNG. For music, convert it to MP3 or OGG. A file can have a supported extension but still be unreadable or encoded incorrectly.

Clear only Clipchamp’s cached site data, restart the browser, and reopen the project. Keep copies of the original files first, as Clipchamp may ask you to locate them again.

Create a blank project and import one file. If that works, the original project may be overloaded or damaged.

Check that the computer has plenty of free disk space, then close other browser tabs and programs. Clipchamp uses local memory and temporary disk space while importing and processing media.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Confirm the correct account is signed in. In Clipchamp, select the user icon and verify the email address. If needed, sign out and sign back in with the account used for Clipchamp and the subscription.
    2. Use the personal Clipchamp account type. Connecting Clipchamp for personal use requires a personal or family Microsoft account. A work or school account cannot be used for this connection.
    3. Open Clipchamp in a browser instead of the Windows app. If the upload issue is happening in the desktop app, open Clipchamp on the web and try again in Edge or Chrome: https://app.clipchamp.com
    4. Check whether OneDrive access is active. Clipchamp personal projects use OneDrive-backed cloud storage. If OneDrive entitlement became inactive, Clipchamp can fail to access projects properly. Sign in to OneDrive here and follow the prompts to reactivate it if needed: https://onedrive.live.com/?view=1&gologin=1
    5. Retry the OneDrive setup inside Clipchamp. In Clipchamp, select the gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings > OneDrive. Then choose Retry setup. If needed, use Choose folder to download projects locally and upload them to OneDrive manually.
    6. If the Microsoft account is not connected correctly, reconnect it. In Clipchamp settings, connect the personal Microsoft account, then sign out of all active Clipchamp sessions and sign back in using Continue with Microsoft.
    7. If the problem continues, contact Clipchamp support through the in-app chat.

A subscription renewing in January does not by itself confirm the correct Clipchamp-connected Microsoft account is being used, so checking the signed-in account and OneDrive setup is the most relevant next step.
