Locked out of business outlook email and it's associated authenticator app profile

I deleted all cookies and browser history to regain access to a partner's portal. When I then went back to my outlook it had logged me out. Now I'm unable to log back in. When I go to re-set my password it asks that I use the Authenticator app which is not responsive and requires the use of the email I can't access to re-set it.

    Hello Patrick Kerney,

Before recommending the next steps, I would like to clarify which organization manages the affected authentication method. When you mentioned accessing a partner’s portal, did you mean that your account was added to the partner’s Microsoft 365 environment as a guest user?

If that is the case, please reach out to the partner’s IT team and ask them to review your guest account and reset or revoke its current MFA registration. After the existing registration has been cleared, you should be prompted to set up Microsoft Authenticator again when signing in.

If your account is not a guest account in the partner’s tenant, please let me know whether you are a regular end user or an administrator of your own Microsoft 365 tenant. The recovery process differs depending on the account role, so this information will help me point you toward the correct support path.

I hope we can narrow this down quickly once the account type is confirmed. Please feel free to update me with the details, and I will assist you with the appropriate next steps.

    Kind regards,
