How to fix booting freeze on Surface Pro 9
Please help!
As of one week ago, my surface pro nine was completely fine and working just like always as it has for two years. Like always there’s usually a routine update so I let my computer restart and let it update. During the update my screen froze and didn’t change for about 20 minutes so I thought it would be OK to just turn off my surface pro. After that my surface pro entered a booting loop where it would only show the Windows logo, then turn black repeatedly until it would enter the big locker recovery. From there, I would only have five seconds till the screen froze and I could do nothing. So I gave my surface pro to a friend who is very good at working with computers and is also working on a computer science degree. From there, he basically explained to me that my laptop is most likely dead in the water and there’s nothing else I can do. Which makes no sense because it was working fine as of one week ago. I’m an incoming masters student and I don’t exactly have the money to just go ahead and buy a new surface pro. Can someone please tell me anything I can do to fix this?
FYI, a lot of repair options just don’t work because of my laptop freezing in five seconds. I don’t have enough time to do a lot of things. This is been extremely frustrating and also nerve-racking due to my program starting soon and me not having a working computer.
