Hello, I am trying to schedule my Microsoft AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) exam through Pearson VUE. I can successfully reach the “Find an appointment” page and select my preferred time zone (Asia/Kolkata-IST). However, whenever I select any available date and time , I receive this error:

“This application has encountered an unexpected problem. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please start over.”

I have tried multiple available time slots and I get the same error every time. I am trying to schedule the exam for 20 September 2026. Could you please check whether there is any issue with my Pearson VUE account or the scheduling system and help me complete the booking?

This error is commonly associated with a Pearson VUE scheduling issue rather than the exam date or time slot itself. A documented cause is an account block after failed payments, which can prevent scheduling and surface as an unexpected error or application error.

    Use this path:

    1. Confirm the scheduling window.
      • Microsoft Certification exams through Pearson VUE can be scheduled no more than 90 days in advance.
      • If 20 September 2026 is more than 90 days from the current date, that date cannot be booked yet.
    2. Check whether the account may be blocked.
      • If there were previous failed payment attempts, Pearson VUE may have blocked the account.
      • In similar cases, the issue was resolved after Pearson VUE unlocked the account.
    3. Contact Pearson VUE support for the scheduling error.
    4. If needed, use Microsoft Credentials support.
    5. When retrying the booking, start again from the certification details page.
      • Open the certification or exam details page.
      • Select Schedule exam.
      • Sign in to the Learn Profile.
      • Verify the legal name matches the Legal ID.
      • Submit the required contact details and continue to Pearson VUE.

If the target date is outside the 90-day window, the next step is to wait until that date falls within 90 days. If the date is within 90 days and the same error appears on every slot, Pearson VUE support is the correct escalation path.
