How to Receive Notifications for New Task Comments in Planner

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, and I understand how easily comments can be missed this way. Unfortunately, what you are describing is expected behavior. Planner does not currently offer a setting that guarantees notifications for every comment on a task. Notifications are generally triggered when you are assigned a task, when a due date changes, or when someone explicitly @mentions you in a comment.

If this is a feature you would like to see, I suggest keeping an eye on the Microsoft Planner blog or the Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365 for any updates on this feature. In the meantime, I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. I also strongly recommend that you share your detailed experience and feedback directly with the Microsoft product team through their official channels.
