Azure repos for Teams notifying team about draft

We have recently added Azure Repos to a Teams channel so we can easily notify our team whenever a pull request is created.

However: it also sends a message tot this channel whenever a [draft] pull request is made, which is not something we want. How do i add a filter so it only notifies the channel whenever a pull request is actually published? or is this simply not possible at this time?

Steps to reproduce:

Create a Pull request draft in Azure Devops

Azure repos picks this pull request (which is in draft mode) up, and notifies our teams channel

Expected behaviour:

Azure repos should ignore pull requests that are in draft mode.

I have only hooked up a single teams channel

it is the teams desktop app

The behavior where Microsoft Teams receives notifications for Pull Requests created in a Draft state or when you want to filter out Draft PR notifications in Azure Repos typically depends on your notification settings or custom event subscriptions configured in Azure DevOps.

Because this requires direct inspection of your Azure DevOps Organization settings and service hooks, we recommend submitting a support ticket to the Azure DevOps Technical Support team so an engineer can examine your organization configuration.
How to Raise a Ticket with Azure DevOps Support

Option 1: Via the Azure DevOps Portal:

Go to Azure DevOps Support Portal.

Scroll to the Get Support section and select Contact Azure DevOps Support.

Sign in with the account associated with your Azure DevOps Organization (Project Administrator permissions are recommended).

Fill in the request details: Topic / Category: Azure Repos / Service Hooks & Microsoft Teams Integration Problem Description: Clearly explain that the Microsoft Teams integration is triggering notifications for Draft Pull Requests (or specify your exact expected notification criteria).

Option 2: Via the Azure Portal (if attached to an Azure Subscription):

Sign in to the Azure Portal.

In the top search bar, search for Help + support.

Select Create a support request.

Set Issue type to Technical.

Set Service to Developer Tools > Azure DevOps.

Select Azure Repos or Integrations (Teams/Slack) as the problem type and follow the prompts to submit the request.
