Green dot not changing

Hi - when I'm logged in, my status changes to a green dot. I notice when others are on a call, it changes to red and says, In a call. Mine doesn't change. How do I fix this? It will go red if I'm in a meeting but not when I'm on the phone. I'm using webex for phone calls. Everyone in my team uses webex, their dots turn red. I keep getting calls when I'm already on the phone. Any ideas?

Dear @Melinda O'Neill,

To ensure I understand your request correctly and to support you as effectively as possible, I need more specific information from you:

I notice when others are on a call, it changes to red and says, In a call. Mine doesn't change.

Does this mean that you are using Teams to call or when you are using Webex on phone, the status does not change to red but the others do (while they are also using Webex to call)?

Are the calls placed through the Webex desktop app, browser, mobile app, or desk phone?

Are you signed into Webex and Microsoft 365 with the same work account?

Did anything change before the issue started, such as an app update, device replacement, or account change?

In the meantime, kindly try these steps:

Open the Webex desktop app.

Confirm you are signed in with your company account.

Open Microsoft Teams.

Select Apps, search for Cisco Call, and open it.

Select Continue to sign in.

If your Teams and Webex accounts use different email addresses, choose Use a different account and enter your Webex account.

Make a short Webex phone call and have a colleague check your Teams status.

If Cisco Call is already installed:

In Teams, open Cisco Call and sign out if that option appears.

Completely quit Teams and Webex, including their taskbar or system-tray icons.

Reopen Webex and sign in first.

Reopen Teams, open Cisco Call, and sign in again.

Start a Webex call and check whether Teams changes from Available to In a call.

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction. Please try the steps above and let me know if they work. If not, we can continue working together to narrow this down.

The first response may not always resolve the issue right away, but with your help and more details, we can work toward a solution.
