Outlook Mobile cannot send meeting‑related email. Normal email sends fine. RSVP acceptance does nothing. I’ve already removed ActiveSync, reset Outlook Mobile, cleared calendar storage, and tested with a new calendar. I need a mailbox‑level calendar permissions reset.”

This problem started occurring after I power outage at my home. I was on my desktop working with my desktop Outlook calendar open. The power when out and them my mobile stopped responding to RSVPs. The desktop rebooted after the power outage and continued to work normally. However, the mobile version of Outlook would work fine except for RSVPs. After about a week and a half another power outage happened, and the mobile version began to work correctly and accept RSVPs. The home network router was rebooted during both outages. Also, during that time, a new version of Outlook mobile was uploaded to my phone. After speaking with Microsoft Support team, they seemed to believe that the newly deployed version was responsible for correcting the problem.

    Dear @Richard Walker,

I understand that normal email works fine in Outlook Mobile, but meeting‑related emails (RSVPs, acceptance, etc.) are not sending. Since you’ve already tried removing ActiveSync, resetting Outlook Mobile, clearing calendar storage, and testing with a new calendar, the next step is to check mailbox‑level calendar permissions.

In Microsoft 365, calendar permissions are managed at the mailbox level. I recommend resetting them using Outlook on the web or PowerShell:

    • In Outlook on the web, right‑click your calendar > Sharing and permissions > remove existing permissions and re‑add them. Please refer to this document: Share and access a calendar with edit or delegate permissions in Outlook
    • If you have admin rights, you can use PowerShell with the Remove-MailboxFolderPermission and Add-MailboxFolderPermission cmdlets to reset permissions. Official documentation: Manage permissions for recipients. Please refer to this document: Set-MailboxFolderPermission

If the issue persists after resetting permissions, please confirm whether the problem occurs only on Outlook Mobile or also on Outlook desktop/web. This helps determine if it’s a client‑specific issue or a mailbox configuration issue.

I’ll continue to support you until this is resolved.
