Is this about bitlocker for business accounts or personal accounts?

There has been issue with personal account loading bitlocker page,

This issue is server-side related, and it is temporary and intermittent.

A potential workaround is, sign into your account https://account.live.com, then click on "change password" on the upper right. Make sure you replace it with a stronger/longer password. Then try to access the bitlocker page again. This seems to work for some users.

The issue shouldn't affect business accounts though.

    Hi @Narendrasinh rathod

To better assist you, could you provide a little more information?

    • Is this a personal device or a work/school-managed device?
    • Are you being prompted for the BitLocker recovery key at startup?
    • When you say "Manage BitLocker" is not opening, do you receive an error message, or does nothing happen?

In the meantime, you can try the following:

If it's a work or school device, contact your IT administrator. The recovery key may be stored in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) or Active Directory.

    • If Windows still starts normally but the BitLocker management console won't open, you can check BitLocker status from an elevated Command Prompt by running:
      • manage-bde -status
This will show whether BitLocker is enabled and the status of the encrypted drive.

If you're locked out of the device and don't have the BitLocker recovery key, Microsoft cannot recover or bypass it. The recovery key is required to unlock the drive.

Please "Accept the Answer" if this information helped you. This will help us and others in the community as well.
