A fully managed end-to-end service for digitally signing code, documents, and applications. (formerly Trusted Signing)
Processing time for Artifact Signing identity validation is 1 to 20 business days, and it can take longer if more documentation is needed. A status of In Progress for 9 days is still within the documented processing window.
What can be done now:
- Wait through the documented processing window if the request is still only 9 business days old.
- Do not create duplicate in-progress requests for the same entity. That does not help, and requests can’t be expedited.
- Check the primary email again, including Junk/Spam, and confirm the mailbox accepts messages with links from external senders. If an email verification link was missed, it expires after 7 days and a new identity validation request is required.
- If no verification email was received at all, verify with the mail administrator that firewall, security, or filtering policies are not blocking the message. If the message still can’t be found, delete the current request and submit a new one.
- If assistance is needed, use Azure Support or Microsoft Q&A with the artifact-signing tag.
Important caution on deleting and recreating:
- An identity validation can be deleted only when it is not in In Progress state.
- Deleting an identity validation affects renewal of linked certificate profiles and impacts signing.
- A deleted identity validation request cannot be recovered.
