Can Infobip SMS billed through Azure Subscription?

We used Azure Communication Service for sending SMS, but it doesn't work for some of the countries, so we are planning to utilize Messaging Connect to get the Infobip and purchase a dedicated short code for sending SMS to other countries. Would it be billed through the Azure portal/Azure billing or separately through Infobip?

    With Azure Communication Services (ACS) Messaging Connect and Infobip, billing is typically split between Microsoft and Infobip.

    1. Azure Communication Services platform fee: Microsoft charges a small platform fee (currently $0.0025 per SMS send request during public preview) for using the ACS platform, including API processing, diagnostics, delivery tracking, and observability. This charge appears on your Azure invoice and, where applicable, counts toward your Azure spending commitment.
    2. Infobip charges: By default, Infobip bills you directly for:
      • SMS delivery charges (per message, depending on the destination country)
      • Phone number or dedicated number leasing (such as long codes or short codes, where supported)
      • Any country-specific regulatory registration or compliance fees
      These charges are billed separately by Infobip and do not appear on your Azure invoice by default.

    If you prefer to receive a single invoice through Azure, this can be achieved by using Azure Marketplace consolidated billing. In this model, Infobip creates a private Azure Marketplace offer for your organization, your Azure administrator accepts the offer, and Microsoft includes the applicable Infobip charges on your Azure invoice as pass-through Marketplace charges.

    Note: Dedicated short code support is currently listed as "Coming soon" for Messaging Connect in its public preview. If a dedicated short code is required today, you may need to work directly with Infobip for provisioning outside of Messaging Connect or wait until short code support becomes available in Messaging Connect.
