Tracking, updating, and organizing tasks within Microsoft Teams or integrated apps
I have been searching for a solution myself and using ai I got these tips:
How to Force a Sync across the Team
Try these steps in order to bypass the stuck metadata queue:
- Trigger a "Hard Refresh" on their end: Have your colleagues click inside their Teams Planner tab and press Ctrl + F5 (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac) to force a complete cloud data pull instead of loading cached positions.
- The "Checklist" trigger: Open one of the tasks you just moved. Add a dummy item to its Checklist or type a quick Comment inside the task. In Microsoft Planner, adding text content forces a higher-priority cloud database sync than a drag-and-drop action, which often pulls the new card order along with it.
- Filter toggling: Have your colleagues click the Filter button in the top right, select a random option (like a single label or assignee), and then clear the filter. This forces the UI to re-query the cloud for the absolute newest board layout.
- Check the "Charts" view: Have a colleague switch the top menu from Board to Charts, and then back to Board. Shifting the layout view forces the application to re-fetch the exact sequence metadata.
In my case there where apparantly two cards that had an issue with only one colleague. After adding some text in the notifications of both cards, they instantly changed to the right order. So for me option 2, the checklist trigger, was the right one.
