Then it says "we sent the verifivation code to jo*****@hypoalbuio.com. in no way is that my email and i never had this issue before. I checked and refreshed all my accounts and made new passwords, double verifictaion you name it. I still can't get in even when i try with password it sends a error 0x80048823. I haven't been able to log in for almost a year, ive messed with this for hours. I am devastated

The verification email shown on the sign-in screen indicates the account security info was likely changed. If the listed email is not recognized, use the account recovery path instead of trying to send a code there.

    1. On the verification prompt, select I don't have any of these if that option appears.
    2. Follow the prompts to replace the security info.
    3. If all security info was changed, after replacement there is a 30-day wait before sign-in is allowed.
    4. If the password is also not usable, submit the account recovery form and provide as much accurate account information as possible.
    5. If the username is no longer recognized or the sign-in says the account does not exist, use the Sign-in Helper tool.
    6. If the account has been inactive for more than two years, it may have been deleted and cannot be reopened.

    About the code issue:

    • Verification codes are only sent to the primary alias or another email/phone already added as a verification method.
    • Support agents cannot send verification codes or change account details for security reasons.

    About 0x80048823:

    • The available context does not include troubleshooting steps for that specific error code.
    • If password sign-in fails with a sign-in processing error, Microsoft documents a related Error 400 sign-in issue separately.

If recovery still fails, use Contact Microsoft Support and select Get Help, then Contact Support.
