Hi!

I bought recently a new Surface Pro 11 (Snapdragon). I have an old surface (3yo) connected to a Surface Dock 2 and a 40-inch 5120×2160 monitor at 60 Hz. Everything works well. When I switch the old Surface for the new one using the docking station, the monitor flickers (black screen for 1–3 seconds).

But only when connected through the Surface Dock 2. The same monitor is completely stable when connected directly to the Surface Pro 11 using the same USB-C cable.

The same Surface Dock 2 - 5k2k screen is completely stable with the older Surface.

I have:

  • Installed all Windows, Surface, and firmware updates.
  • Restarted the computer.
  • Tried both USB-C display ports on the Dock 2.
