Configure Custom Domain for ACS Link Tracking

Microsoft is asking us to configure custom domains for link tracking in ACS, I have notified them its not a feature ACS provides at this time. Can you please confirm? We have a custom domain setup for email sending but link tracking rewrites links used in the email with a non configurable acs domain when link tracking is enabled.

Hi Nate,

Currently there is no feature to allow the engagement tracking links to use custom domain. I double-checked the REST API to see if there is an option I was unaware of that can only be enabled programmatically.

Perhaps the feature will be added in the future.

    Thank you for reaching us regarding the issue.

    Currently, Azure Communication Services does not support configuring a custom domain for engagement tracking / link tracking.

    Even when you have a custom verified domain configured for email sending, enabling link tracking will cause ACS to rewrite the links using its own (non-configurable) domain.

    I also double-checked the REST API payloads and SDK options, there is no property or setting available (even programmatically) to route tracking links through a custom subdomain.

    You can still enable User Engagement Tracking (open + click tracking) on your custom domain.

    This feature may be added in the future, but it is not available today.
