    Hi NIA IT,

The encryption lock phenomenon you are currently facing is an inherent attribute of the Windows Device Encryption mechanism, strictly impervious to circumvention or bypass via conventional techniques. The initial provisioning sequence on these HP devices automatically triggered full-volume encryption, establishing a mandatory referential binding between the physical hardware and the 48-character recovery key. Given that these are institutionally owned devices, the identity management system automatically mapped this encryption key into the Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) cloud repository the moment the first user authenticated with a work or school account. The imperative action now is to conduct a systematic audit of the administrative dashboard at portal.azure.com, navigating to the device directory to extract this numerical string. The BitLocker protection mechanism operates under the absolute mathematical rigidity of the AES algorithm; any attempt to compromise the system, such as attempting to modify registry keys at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BitLocker to disable the encryption, is entirely futile, as it cannot bypass the pre-boot authentication perimeter prior to the operating system loading. In the event that the organizational administrative audit fails to precisely identify the originating account or locate the corresponding directory record, all data residing on these devices must be unequivocally classified as permanently irrecoverable, adhering strictly to cryptographic principles. Microsoft's security architecture operates as a closed system, devoid of any systemic backdoors or cryptographic exceptions. Consequently, the singular technical methodology remaining to restore the physical hardware to an operational state is executing a clean installation utilizing a Windows USB installation medium.
