Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
Hello @Samarasimha Reddy,
Based on Microsoft documentation and guidance, Outlook calendars are tied to the mailbox that owns them, so there is no direct "transfer ownership" feature for a personal mailbox calendar. If the calendar owner is leaving the company, the recommended approach depends on whether the account is still available.
If the owner's account is still active:
- Open your Outlook.
- Go to Calendar and find the Calendar you want to share.
- Look for the Sharing Permissions button.
- Add the new user and grant them the highest available permissions (such as delegate or edit permissions, depending on your organization's configuration)
If the employee is leaving the organization, I recommend that the Microsoft 365 administrator convert the user's mailbox to a shared mailbox before removing the account. This preserves the mailbox and calendar data and allows permissions to be reassigned to other users: About shared mailboxes in Microsoft 365 - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn
If the original owner has already left and you no longer have access to the mailbox, an Exchange Online administrator may need to grant calendar permissions to a new owner using Exchange Online administration tools: Add-MailboxFolderPermission (ExchangePowerShell) | Microsoft Learn
If you're not sure who is the Microsoft 365 Admin within your organization, here’s a helpful guide to locate them: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support
I hope this information helps. If you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to leave a comment.
Thank you and I wish you a great day!
