Hi there,

My business email was compromised earlier today, someone has sent out an email from my address to all of my contact, attempting to get my contact list to open a hyperlink attached. I have recalled the email that was sent, wiped all rules that were in my setting and signed out of devices.

However I can now no longer log back into my email account, I have tried to reset my password, but it is saying that I need to contact my administrator which I do not know who this is or where it is linked too. Would anyone be able to assist me in recovering my account?

Thanks,

Dear @tahlia p,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please understand that our forum is a public platform, and I will modify your question to cover your personal information in the description. Please notice to hide these personal or organization information next time you post error or some information to protect personal data.

Based on your description, it appears that your business email account may have been compromised. Since you have already removed suspicious rules, signed out of devices, and attempted a password reset, the next step depends on who manages the Microsoft 365 tenant.

If this is a company-managed account, I recommend contacting your Microsoft 365 administrator or IT department as soon as possible. They can reset your password, review sign-in activity, and help secure the account. In case you're unsure who your Global Admin is, this guide may help How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

You can refer to this article Reset passwords in Microsoft 365 for business

And if you are the business owner or the only administrator and cannot access the account, you may need to contact Microsoft Support directly for account recovery assistance. Administrator account recovery and tenant lockout scenarios typically require identity verification through Microsoft's support process.

You can follow these steps as the link: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin

I hope information above can help you resolve the issue as soon as possible, please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.
