Organizing and accessing contact information in Outlook on the web for business
Hi Vincent,
In Outlook on the web, this behavior usually occurs when a contact saved in Favorites is linked to an older saved contact, a duplicate entry.
You can try the following steps to refresh the information:
Remove and re-add the favorite
- Go to Outlook on the web.
- Select the People icon.
- Open Favorites.
- Select the contact with outdated information.
- Choose Remove from favorites.
- Search for the person again - ideally using their updated email address.
- Open the correct contact/profile card.
- Select Add to favorites.
If outdated details still appear
- Go to People.
- Search for the contact’s name.
- Check for duplicate entries (one may contain old details).
- Click the three dots (…) next to the contact.
- Select Edit contact or delete the outdated duplicate.
- Update the email address or phone number, then Save.
This should help ensure your Favorites reflect the most current contact details.
I hope this helps move things in the right direction. If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to help.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
