Windows clipchamp shows a blank white screen - I have reinstalled the app, and have plenty of storage space - help

When resetting the app, I can log in. If I log in under another account, I get in, but it doesn't have my projects. If I log in under my account again, I get a white screen again. HOWEVER, I CAN log in under my account on my Windows 11 PC, it has the projects but it doesn't have access to the local video files. The PC that keeps getting the blank white screen is windows 10 (No ESU).

Hi Norah, I have reported this. I can now access Clipchamp but voice notes or media can't be uploaded, therefore projects can't be completed.

Thank you for your update. Can you try uninstalling Clipchamp app or clear cache if you are using in the browser.

My clipchamp now works fortunately. When I cleared the cache yesterday on the website version I was able to record a voice note, upload media, and save projects. The app version works again too.

Try the following steps to resolve the blank white screen in Clipchamp on Windows:

Confirm hardware and space requirements
- Ensure the PC meets Clipchamp’s requirements: at least 8 GB RAM (16 GB recommended), 64‑bit CPU, 64‑bit Windows, and a recent graphics card.
- Verify there is more free disk space on the internal drive than the total size of the media files being used in projects. Insufficient space for temporary files can prevent projects and the editor from loading correctly.
Free up memory and close other apps
- Close other apps and browser tabs to free RAM, then relaunch Clipchamp. Low available memory can stop projects and assets from loading and can manifest as a blank or non‑responsive editor.
Clear Clipchamp temporary data (desktop app)
Since reinstalling did not help, clear the app’s local cache and temp data:
- Close Clipchamp.
- Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
- Find Clipchamp, select the three dots (…) → Advanced options → Reset.
  This deletes the app’s data cache and temp files and can fix loading/blank‑screen issues.
Alternatively, manually clear temp folders:
- Open File Explorer.
- Go to:
  C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Packages\Clipchamp.Clipchamp_yxz26nhyzhsrt\LocalState\EBWebView\
- Delete all subfolders there, then empty the Recycle Bin.
Before clearing temp files, ensure copies of all source media files exist outside Clipchamp or that content backup is enabled; otherwise projects may later ask to relink media.
Use the Clipchamp storage settings page (personal accounts)
- Sign in to Clipchamp and open https://app.clipchamp.com/account/storage or go to the Clipchamp home page → Settings (bottom left) → Storage.
- On Local storage, check how much disk space Clipchamp uses and optionally delete temp files.
  Again, keep original media files available or have content backup enabled to avoid losing the ability to edit existing projects.
If using Clipchamp in a browser
If the white screen occurs in the web version:
- Disable browser extensions (especially ad blockers, privacy, or translation add‑ons), then reload Clipchamp.
- If still blank, clear Clipchamp’s site data via Developer Tools:
  1. In Edge or Chrome, select the three‑dots menu → More tools → Developer tools.
  2. Select the Application tab → Storage.
  3. Select Clear site data, then refresh the Clipchamp page and open the project again.
    Ensure original media files are available or content backup is enabled, as clearing site data purges editing/processing files and may require relinking.

If, after these steps, Clipchamp still only shows a white screen and the PC meets the hardware requirements, the issue may be specific to that Windows profile or environment; testing Clipchamp under another Windows user account can help confirm that.
