If the person is not answering in Microsoft Teams chat, try these options:

If private chat is disabled or limited at the school, post your question in the appropriate class team channel and @mention the educator’s name so they see it.
If you can’t start a new chat at all, the school may have disabled private chat or enabled supervised chat. In that case, use the class channel and @mention the educator, or reply in an existing supervised chat that already includes an educator.
If chat is enabled and messages are sending but not answered, wait for a response and, if needed, follow up in class or via whatever contact method the school recommends.

Oh ok. then how long do I have to wait for, I need to talk to someone from school right now.

Based on your description, you have sent a message to someone at your school; however, you have not yet received a response from them.

This issue may occur if the recipient has not responded to your message yet. Once they reply, you will receive the message.

At the same time, you can also check whether your message has been sent successfully:

If a check mark appears inside a circle, it means that your message has been sent successfully.
If it is not shown, it means that the message has not been sent.
