When trying to host a world in Minecrfat education on my surface PC in school (hosting will not start!)
following error is shown: "There is a problem with your connection , hosting multiplayer is stopped en has to be restarted" issue and therefore no connection codes are generated. Yesterday I gave all (Minecraft IT-ADMIN url and wildcard url information to our Firewall MSP) What url('s) is/are blocked ? Will whitelisting all url's fix this issue ...? What can I do for further troubleshooting and investigation?

Netstat shows : [minecraft.windows.exe] my LAN IP anonimised

    Hi @Buitenhuis, R J,

Please understand that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to cover your personal information including your username in the description. Please notice to hide these personal information next time you post error or some information to protect personal data.

Regarding your issue, since this is specific to Minecraft Education (multiplayer hosting and network configuration), this forum may not be the best place to fully investigate it, as we mainly focus on Microsoft 365 and Office-related topics.

There is a dedicated Minecraft Education support forum and support team, which is specifically set up to handle issues like this. It would be best to post your question there so you can get more targeted assistance from specialists and other educators/IT admins who work with this product regularly: Minecraft Education Community Forum

Alternatively, you can also contact Minecraft Education support team directly following the steps here: How to Get Support – Minecraft Education

(I recommend going straight to the “Submit a request” step. It saves time and ensures your case is reviewed more thoroughly by the support team.)

When you reach out, make sure to include the details you've already gathered (the error screenshot, netstat output, firewall configuration, device info, and Minecraft Education version) that will help them get to the root cause much faster.

Thank you again for your understanding. I truly hope your issue is resolved quickly, and I hope this information helps you reach the right support team without further frustration.

Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.
