Dear @Gildred,
Based on the information available, it appears that your OneDrive account was part of an organization-managed (school/education) environment. In such cases, the organization is the owner and administrator of the account and its associated data. When an account is disabled, unlicensed, or removed, OneDrive follows a defined retention and deletion process that is configured by the organization’s IT administrators.
I completely understand your question about whether it is possible to bypass the organization and contact Microsoft directly for recovery. Unfortunately, in this scenario, Microsoft operates strictly under the organization’s ownership and governance of the tenant. For privacy and security reasons, Microsoft Support does not have the ability to grant access to or restore data for individual users without authorization from the organization’s administrators. This means that any recovery or restoration requests must be handled by the school’s IT team. In this situation, you have to contact your IT team once again and push them to assist you.
I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction.
As a moderator, I do not have the tools to investigate your specific account directly, as this is a support forum between users.
