White Screen When I Try to Log In To Outlook APP on Android

Hello!

When I go to the Outlook app on my Android phone, after entering my school email address it just takes me to a fully blank white page and doesn't load anything in. I am fully able to log into this email on PC on outlook, as well as in google chrome on phone, but not the app itself.
I have updated the WebView and Chrome apps, I have cleared my cache, and uninstalled and installed the app, and nothing worked.
How do I fix this issue?

Try the following steps in order:

Fully restart the phone
A simple restart has resolved similar Outlook Android login issues where the app hung on a blank screen.
Fix potential WebView regression (especially on newer Samsung devices)
If using a Samsung device and this started recently:
1. Open Settings → search for “Android System WebView” → tap App details in store.
2. Tap Remove updates.
3. Reboot the phone.
4. Go back to Android System WebView → App details in store → tap Update.
5. Reboot again, then open Outlook and try to sign in.
- If Android System WebView is not visible in the app list, go to: Settings → Google → All services → System services → Android System WebView, then follow the same remove‑updates → reboot → update steps.
Ensure Chrome is installed and set as default browser (for Google-based sign-in flows)
For some account types, Outlook for Android requires a compatible browser:
1. Install or update Google Chrome from the Play Store.
2. Set Chrome as the default browser in Android settings.
3. Reopen Outlook and try adding the school account again.
Reinstall Outlook after the above steps
If the issue persists after fixing WebView and Chrome and restarting:
1. Uninstall Microsoft Outlook.
2. Reboot the phone.
3. Reinstall Outlook from the Play Store.
4. Open Outlook and add the school account again.

2.Reboot your device

Power the phone off completely, then turn it back on. After rebooting, open Outlook and sign in again. This refreshes the Android web sign‑in components that Outlook depends on.

Hello! Sorry for the late response, I wasn't receiving notifications on this through my email for some reason.

Anyway, none of these solutions worked, and when I went to my uni's IT support none of the troubleshooting we did helped. In the end apparently what I was told was that Microsoft apps aren't supported anymore on Android versions below 14 , and my phone is Android 13, but I didn't really understand this because Microsoft says that apps should work on the latest 4 versions of Android which should mean at least until Android 12 right now.....

Thank you for your help! My school hasn't directly communicated with Microsoft about my specific issue but this is just what I was told and that there's nothing else I can do. I appreciate your replies though, would you know if there's a way for me to directly contact some type of Microsoft support about this?

Because this is an education account, Microsoft support processes usually require involvement from your school’s IT administrator for further investigation. Although you’ve already contacted your school IT team and they couldn’t resolve the issue, they would still be the appropriate channel to escalate it to Microsoft on your behalf if further action is possible.

hello, still issue in august 2026, the white screen appear on Onedrive, Outlook and Teams.
I tried clear the cache, remove apps, reinstall again, checked all updates but no way, still white screen after enter my company email address. I have a workaround about email because I use another one and all is working fine. so the issue concern all microsoft apps. thanks report this to the high level MS team.
