    Hi @MattvonRajcs-8762,

Thank you for taking the time to share your situation. I hope my sharing may reach you intime and help bring some clarity.

For this scenario, this issue can only be addressed by Microsoft dedicated support teams, who have the appropriate tools and authorization to manage domain level settings. Just to gently clarify before we go any further, I as forum moderator have limited authority and do not have the ability to access, recover or make changes to your account.

To contact Microsoft Support, please sign into Microsoft 365 Admin Center > at the bottom-right, select the Help & Support button (green icon) > Contact Support. For detailed instructions on how to create a support ticket, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.

Note: These steps require Microsoft 365 Global Admin to complete, as only they have the required permissions.

In case if you are the sole global administrator and cannot access your admin account, you will need assistance from Microsoft’s Data Protection team. They will verify domain ownership and other required information in order to restore your access.

During the phone call, you will need to provide the information associated with your subscription, such as your company name, billing details, phone number, and an alternate email address, etc. This information allows the Data Protection team to verify your identity and securely assist you in regaining access to your administrator account.

In some regions, the initial interaction may be automated, so here’s a general idea of how the conversation might go to help you prepare:

Here are some tips and an example of a prompt to help you reach out the Microsoft Data Protection team support more effectively:

(When you call the support number, you may hear an introduction of about 30 seconds such as "you can visit the link...". You can ignore this introduction and wait until you are presented with the options. Then press "1" as a business email user, and again "1" for technical help.)

In some countries, it is an automated conversation like:

IVR: What kind of problem are you concerned about?

    You: Authenticator.

IVR: What kind of product do you use?

    You: Office 365 for business.

IVR confirmation: education or company account?

    You: For companies

    IVR: Are you an administrator?

    You: Yes.

IVR: Do you have another administrator in your organization?

    You: No.

IVR: Do you need a... Service request?

You: Yes. I need to create a ticket. Please send me directly to the Data Protection Team.

Optional workaround: Create a new tenant to submit a support ticket

If you cannot reach a live agent, there is still a workaround, you might consider registering for a new tenant by signing up for a trial subscription via this link Microsoft 365 Business Plans and Pricing | Microsoft 365. This would allow you to create a new tenant following the prompts provided. Once sets up, you can access the admin console of the new tenant and submit a support ticket requesting to speak with the Data Protection team on behalf of your previous tenant.

Important note: Please remember to cancel the trial subscription after your issue is resolved, as this will help you avoid any accidental billing. Tenant-level changes such as removing or resetting a Microsoft 365 tenant cannot be performed through community support or self-service guidance in the provided information. This scenario requires direct assistance from Microsoft support.

To speak with a real support agent about the Microsoft 365 tenant so GoDaddy can attempt to restore the emails:

    1. Sign in to Outlook.com or the Microsoft 365 service with the affected account.
    2. In Outlook on the web, select Help on the menu bar.
    3. In the Help pane, describe the issue (for example: “Need tenant change so GoDaddy can restore emails lost after domain transfer”).
    4. If the self-help suggestions do not resolve the issue, scroll down and choose Still need help? and then select the option to Chat with a support agent in the browser.
    5. Provide full details of the domain transfer from GoDaddy to Microsoft 365 and that GoDaddy support says Microsoft is rejecting the restore, and that you need tenant-level assistance.

If sign-in is not possible or if phone support is preferred, use the Microsoft customer service contact page referenced below to find the appropriate phone number for the region and product, then call and explain that this is a Microsoft 365 business tenant/domain migration and data-restoration issue.

For future reference, when moving a domain or mail hosting between providers, coordinate the migration and export/backup of mailbox data (PST export or server-side migration) before changing MX records or deprovisioning the old service, to avoid data-loss risk.
