I recently purchased Microsoft 365 Premium . ....mostly just to get the AI credits for altering photos. But my computer still says that I have no credits available. When do I receive credits from my Microsoft 365 Premium purchase?

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. I understand that you are having an issue with regards to AI credits for the Microsoft 365 Premium plan that you have.

Please check and ensure that you are logged in and using the correct account.

Also, is the plan reflecting correct on your account when you login at account.microsoft.com/services from a browser?

Microsoft 365 Premium includes extensive usage of Copilot features and image generation, but AI benefits are only available to the subscription owner and are subject to usage limits and credits.

Key points for Microsoft 365 Premium and photo/AI features:

    1. AI credits and limits
      • Premium provides “extensive usage beyond standard credit limits” for Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps and image generation/editing in Designer, Create, Paint, Photos, and Microsoft 365 web, mobile, and desktop apps.
      • AI features are only available to the subscription owner and cannot be shared with other people on the subscription.
      • Feature limits and AI credits can vary by feature, entry point, and system conditions, and may change over time.
    2. When credits become available
      • AI credits are tied to the subscription and are consumed automatically when using AI features (for example, generating or editing images).
      • Credits for Microsoft 365 subscribers are replenished monthly; for plans with fixed credits (like Personal/Family with 60 credits/month), they reset at the beginning of each month. Premium instead provides extensive usage beyond those standard limits.
    3. How to check status of credits/limits
      • Go to Services & subscriptions in the Microsoft account to verify that Microsoft 365 Premium is active and to check the status of AI limits and credits.
      • If the device still reports no credits, confirm that the signed-in account on the PC is the same account that owns the Premium subscription.
    4. Using AI for altering photos
      • Image generation and editing are available in Designer, Create, Paint, Photos, and Microsoft 365 apps. When these tools are used while signed in with the Premium subscription owner account, AI usage should draw from the Premium plan’s extensive usage allowance.

If the subscription is confirmed as Premium under Services & subscriptions and the correct account is signed in but the system still shows no credits, contact Microsoft Support from the account page so they can check the subscription status and AI benefits on the account.
