I have just renewed my 365 subscription, but it is still telling me it needs to be activated.

Try closing all Office applications and open them again to force a sync with Microsoft servers, as this often resolves renewal delays. Sign out of your Microsoft account within Word or Excel (File > Account > Sign out) and sign back in using the correct email address associated with the renewed subscription. Verify the renewal status by visiting account.microsoft.com/services to ensure the subscription is active, not expired or suspended. If it still shows unlicensed, open an app, go to File > Account, and select Update License to force a refresh. Windows users can also try clearing cached credentials by searching for Credential Manager, selecting Windows Credentials, and removing all entries associated with Office. If the issue persists, run an online repair from Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, right-click Microsoft Office, and select Change > Online Repair
