Dear Support Team,

I am currently unable to access my OneDrive account because the system displays the error message “FraudThrottle.htm#1066” and states that access has been blocked.

I sincerely apologize if my account may have unintentionally violated any policy or terms of service. However, I respectfully ask for your understanding and assistance in this matter.

My OneDrive contains a very large number of personal photos and memories of my deceased family members. These files are extremely important to me emotionally and sentimentally, and they cannot be replaced or recovered from any other source.

Even if a permanent restriction must eventually remain on the account, I humbly request that you please grant me temporary access for a few more days so that I may download and back up these personal photographs and memories before any final action is taken.

Please kindly respond to this request and contact me via email at ******@gmail.com regarding any possible solution or further verification required.

I truly appreciate your time, compassion, and consideration. I sincerely hope you can help me during this difficult situation.

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards,

The error FraudThrottle.htm#1066 does indicate your account has been restricted, this forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, the best option is to fill in the Account Reinstatement Form on this link and hopefully the restriction will be removed from your account.

The error “FraudThrottle.htm#1066” indicates that access to the Microsoft account/OneDrive has been blocked due to suspicious or policy‑related activity. End users cannot clear this block themselves; only Microsoft’s automated systems or support can review and remove it.

Based on the available guidance, the practical steps are:

    1. Check whether the Microsoft account itself is blocked
      • If sign‑in to Outlook.com or the Microsoft account dashboard is also affected, use the official unblock flow: open the Sign‑in Helper and follow the prompts to verify identity and unblock the account.
      • Article: Unblock my Outlook.com account explains that accounts are blocked when unusual sign‑in activity is detected and that unblocking requires completing the security verification steps.
    2. If OneDrive shows “Your account is currently unavailable”
      • The OneDrive account may be temporarily blocked due to suspicious activity or a possible violation of the Microsoft Services Agreement.
      • Go to the Microsoft services account reset page and follow the on‑screen instructions to check status and attempt reactivation.
      • If the block is tied to recent verification or heavy sharing, it may clear automatically within 24 hours.
    3. If the block is due to an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) issue (for work/school tenants)
      • For organizational (Microsoft 365 work or school) tenants, when SharePoint/OneDrive are blocked for AUP violations, the resolution is only through Microsoft 365 admin support.
      • An admin must open the SharePoint Acceptable Use Policy page in the Microsoft 365 admin center and select Contact support to submit a ticket and request restoration.
    4. If sign‑in attempts have been throttled
      • If there have been many failed sign‑in attempts, wait at least 24 hours with no further attempts, then try again.
      • If the account still appears blocked after that, use the unblock flow above and, if needed, submit a Request for Account Reinstatement as described in the Outlook.com unblock article.
    5. If the account is compromised or fully locked and normal recovery fails
      • For personal Microsoft accounts, recovery is handled only through the official account recovery and security channels. If the recovery form and unblock flows fail and security info has been replaced, there is no alternate manual override documented.
      • If the account owner is deceased or incapacitated and legal access is required, Microsoft can only consider releasing data after being served with a valid subpoena or court order, as described in the “If you need access to the account, seek legal guidance” article.

Given the emotional importance of the photos, the immediate actions are:

    • Use the Sign‑in Helper to unblock the Microsoft account if Outlook.com/Microsoft account sign‑in is affected.
    • Use the Microsoft services account reset page to check and attempt to reactivate OneDrive if it shows as unavailable.
    • If this is a work/school account and the message appears in a Microsoft 365 tenant, contact the organization’s Microsoft 365 admin and have them open a support ticket from the Microsoft 365 admin center (SharePoint Acceptable Use Policy page → Contact support).
    • If none of these flows restore access, continue working with Microsoft Support via the official channels referenced in the unblock and recovery articles; end users cannot directly override a fraud/AUP block.
