I have a subscription to Microsoft Office 365 (family, 5 users), and I need to reinstall it on my laptop after resetting my computer. Please advise how I should proceed.

Regards,

Use the existing Microsoft 365 Family subscription and install the apps again on the reset laptop.

    Follow these steps:

    1. In a browser on the laptop, go to the Microsoft account dashboard at https://account.microsoft.com and select Sign in.
    2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account that manages the Microsoft 365 Family subscription.
    3. Select the Subscriptions icon in the left pane.
    4. On the Subscriptions page:
      • For a Microsoft 365 subscription, confirm it is listed and active.
      • Select Install Microsoft 365 (usually in the upper-right of the page).
    5. In the Install Microsoft 365 dialog:
      • Choose the preferred language.
      • Choose the bit version (32-bit or 64-bit) from Choose a version.
      • Select Install.
    6. An installer file (for example, OfficeSetup.exe) will download. Run it and follow the prompts. The installation dialog will show You're all set when complete.
    7. After installation, ensure the laptop is connected to the internet and open an app such as Word or Excel.
    8. When prompted, sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the Family subscription and accept the license terms. The apps should then activate.

If the laptop originally came with Office pre-installed and was reset, the same process from the Microsoft account dashboard is used to reinstall, as long as the subscription or product is visible under Subscriptions or Products you've purchased.

If Office does not appear under the signed-in account, verify that the correct Microsoft account is being used for the Family subscription.

    Is this a Windows computer?

First, you need to check which Microsoft account the subscription is associated with. Please check here:

    https://account.microsoft.com/services

If the subscription shows as active, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
    2. Sign in using the Microsoft account associated with your license
    3. Locate Microsoft Office and click Install
    4. This will download the Office installer
    5. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions

Once installed, open any Office app such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel, then sign in using the Microsoft account associated with the purchase to activate Office.
