Hello. Could you please open this page and share a screenshot of what appears on your screen?

    OneDrive Storage Management

    Also, check your subscriptions here:

    Microsoft Services & Subscriptions

Do you see your active subscription listed on the account there?

The account remains frozen because the Microsoft storage quota is still exceeded or the storage change has not fully propagated yet. Upgrading or buying more storage alone does not unfreeze the account if the total used storage (OneDrive files, Recycle Bin items, Outlook.com attachments and emails, Teams attachments, etc.) is still above the quota.

    To resolve this:

    1. Get back under the storage quota
      • Sign in to Manage your OneDrive storage: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=875432
      • Confirm signing in with the same account that received the “account frozen” message.
      • Check what is using space (OneDrive files, Recycle Bin, Outlook.com data, etc.) and either:
        • Delete enough content (including items in the OneDrive Recycle Bin), or
        • Ensure the upgraded storage is active and large enough for your current usage.
      • It can take up to 2 hours for changes (deleting files or buying storage) to apply. If the account is still frozen after 4 hours, contact support using the link provided on that page.
    2. Understand why it is frozen
      • An “Account frozen” or error code 0x8004def7 appears if the storage allowance is exceeded and/or the account has not been signed in to for a long time. Files are still there but access is restricted until the account is back under the Microsoft storage quota.
    3. About a refund
      • Whether to refund the payment depends on whether the subscription is still needed. If the upgraded storage is not required and a refund is desired, follow the standard Microsoft subscription refund process and/or contact Microsoft support or billing using the official support channels. The Q&A and this guidance cannot process refunds directly.
    4. Talk to an agent
      • For direct assistance (including billing or refund questions, or if the account remains frozen more than 4 hours after freeing space or upgrading), contact Microsoft Support via the official support/contact options provided by Microsoft (for example, from the OneDrive or Microsoft 365 support pages). From there, choose the appropriate product (Microsoft 365/OneDrive) and use the Chat with a support agent or phone callback option where available.
