I see. By default, your files are usually stored in OneDrive, but if you changed the save location during installation, they may be harder to locate. With that said, please open Clipchamp > Home, scroll down to Your Videos. Are they the files you are trying to delete?

If you want to delete the local media files, you can go to Clipchamp settings > Local storage and delete all local media. If you're pertaining to project files, those are in your OneDrive. You can go to https://onedrive.live.com/ then open Videos folder > Clipchamp then delete the files there.

    Hi,

As far as I know, the app is installed inside the WindowsApps folder, which is a protected system directory. You can verify this through Task Manager by expanding Microsoft Clipchamp, then right-clicking the Microsoft Clipchamp process and selecting Open file location.

While you can open the folder location, you generally won’t be able to browse through it normally or delete files inside it. The files in that directory are intentionally restricted because Windows uses those protections to help prevent malware or unauthorized changes to system-managed apps.

Clipchamp stores its program and temporary files in specific folders on the C: drive.

To find Clipchamp’s main folder on C: in Windows:

    1. Open File Explorer.
    2. In the address bar, paste this path (then press Enter):
      C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Packages\Clipchamp.Clipchamp_yxz26nhyzhsrt\
    3. Replace yourusername with the actual Windows account name.

This folder contains Clipchamp’s app data and temp copies of media used in projects.

If the goal is to delete Clipchamp temp files to free space, there are two supported options:

Option 1 – Reset the Clipchamp desktop app (deletes app data cache including temp files)

    1. Close Clipchamp.
    2. Open StartSettingsAppsInstalled apps.
    3. Find Clipchamp in the list.
    4. Select the three dots (…) next to it → Advanced options.
    5. Select Reset.

Option 2 – Manually delete temp folders

    1. Open File Explorer.
    2. Go to:
      C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Packages\Clipchamp.Clipchamp_yxz26nhyzhsrt\LocalState\EBWebView\
    3. Delete all subfolders inside EBWebView.
    4. Empty the Recycle Bin.

Important for personal Clipchamp accounts: before deleting temp files, ensure copies of all personal media files used in Clipchamp projects are available elsewhere (or backed up using the content backup feature). After clearing temp files, Clipchamp may ask to locate and re-add media when reopening projects; without the original files, those projects cannot be edited further.
