Purchased 365 from costco online where description reads: "Unlock 3 extra months with credit card on file to get 15 months for the price of 12". I have my card on file, with recurring billing but my subscription still saids expires in exactly 12 months from when I first redeemed. How do I get the extra 3 months?

The extra 3 months are part of a partner/third‑party promotional offer. These unique partner offers are managed by the retailer (Costco) and not directly by Microsoft.

    To resolve this:

    1. First, confirm what Microsoft currently shows for the subscription:
      • Go to the Services & subscriptions page.
      • Sign in with the same Microsoft account used to redeem the Costco code.
      • Check the subscription’s expiration date and whether recurring billing is turned on.
    2. If the expiration date still shows only 12 months and not 15 months, contact Costco (the third‑party retailer) directly. For subscriptions purchased with recurring billing from a third‑party retailer, only the retailer can correct or honor the promotional term.
    3. If Costco confirms everything is correct on their side but the Microsoft account still shows the wrong date, contact Microsoft Support and provide proof of the Costco promotion and purchase so they can review the subscription details.

If the subscription was purchased specifically for the partner offer and the extra months cannot be honored, the subscription can be cancelled following the steps at the Microsoft 365 cancellation page referenced below, or via the retailer if it was fully managed by them.
