AADSTS5000225: Tenant blocked due to inactivity / unable to sign in or open azure support ticket

Hello,

My tenant has been blocked due to inactivity, and I am stuck in a loop with no way out:

  • I cannot sign in to the Azure portal (sign-in fails with AADSTS5000225).
  • I cannot open a support ticket (https://support.microsoft.com/contactus then Azure) because the page requires authentication and redirects me to the blocked tenant, returning the same error.
  • I cannot access https://myaccount.microsoft.com/organizations to leave the organization either, it tells me my username may be incorrect, but my account works fine in account.microsoft.com
  • Phone support in my country (France) routes only to a chatbot that refuses to handle Azure sign-in issues and will not transfer to a human agent…

The tenant was created years ago and has remained unused since. How can I delete it?

Thank you.

Nathan

    Hello Nathan

We would like to inform you that your tenant has been successfully reactivated.

You can now try signing in to your account. Please let us know if you encounter any issues or need further assistance.

    For the second tenant:

As discussed over private messages, please login to Azure with the tenant specific endpoint and pass the tenant ID I provided.

    https://portal.azure.com/TenantID

And you will be able to access Azure portal.

    User's image

I am seeing the same AADSTS5000225 blocked inactive tenant loop and cannot access the Azure portal, Entra portal, or support ticket flow. In this thread, the suggested fix was to log in using https://portal.azure.com/TenantID with a tenant-specific endpoint.

Could a Microsoft moderator please help me identify the correct tenant ID or provide the same private-message assistance so I can access/delete/reactivate the blocked tenant?
