Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

If you no longer have access to your alternate security information, such as your recovery phone number or email address, you will need to replace it first.

On the Verify your identity screen, select "I don't have any of these" and follow the prompts to update your security information.

Note - If you remove all of your previous security info and replace it with something new, your account will be put into a restricted state for 30 days.

You will only be able to sign in on your mobile device after 30 days.

Because the old email and phone number are no longer accessible, the security info on the Microsoft account must be updated using the built‑in recovery flow.

    Use these steps:

    1. When prompted to verify with the old email/phone, choose the option like I don't have any of these (or similar wording) on the verification screen.
    2. Follow the prompts to start the account recovery process and add new security info (a new phone number or email address) that can receive codes.
    3. After the new security info is added and verified, use that method (text or email) to complete sign‑in on the new phone and then add the account to Outlook for Android.

    Note:

    • Verification codes can only be sent to email addresses and phone numbers that are already set up as security info.
    • If too many attempts are made or unusual activity is detected, the account may be temporarily blocked from receiving codes; in that case, wait and try again later.
