Office LTSC 2021 can be installed on macOS, but it must be installed using the Microsoft PKG installer, not from the Mac App Store.
If Office apps were previously installed from the Mac App Store, they must be fully uninstalled first, as App Store Office is not compatible with LTSC licenses.
You can follow these steps to install:
1.Check your macOS version
-According to Office 2021 and Office LTSC for Windows and Mac FAQ - Microsoft Support, Office LTSC 2021 for Mac supports the three most recent macOS versions supported by Microsoft.
-To check, please click the Apple icon in the top left corner of your screen > About This Mac > confirm your version (Sequoia, Sonoma, Ventura,...)
2.Download the Office 2021 for Mac installer (PKG) from Microsoft
You can get it from Microsoft Office activation and the Mac App Store - Microsoft Support.
3.Run the installer
-After download, double-click the .pkg file and follow the installation wizard
4.Activate Office LTSC 2021
-Activation is handled through your organization’s volume license (usually managed by IT).
-After installation, you can confirm the version by opening Word and checking Word > About Word, which should display Office LTSC 2021.
