A OneDrive tied to a work account is part of your organization’s Microsoft 365 tenant. When a license expires, the user account and mailbox remain in the tenant, but OneDrive access is suspended until a valid license is reassigned.
If your organization no longer has access to the Microsoft 365 admin account that manages the tenant, there’s no end‑user method to renew or recover the license. The only supported path is to work with Microsoft Support to recover the admin account. They’ll verify domain ownership and restore administrative access so you can reassign licenses and reactivate OneDrive.
