To make sure I guide you correctly, could you please confirm:
- Are you trying to add the same email account from your computer to Outlook on your Android phone?
- Is this a personal Microsoft account such as Outlook.com / Hotmail / Live, or a different type of account?
- Are you receiving the code by email, or through another verification method?
- Does the code fail only in the Outlook app, or does it also fail if you try to sign in to the same account in a browser on the phone?
In the meantime, please try this one check first:
Try signing in to Outlook on the web via the phone's web browser and check whether the same issue appears there.
