I purchased Office Home and Business 2024 for my new MacBook Air and I cannot import the olm file from the older version. How can I import this file into my newer version?

    You can't.

Office Home and Business 2024 for Mac has only New Outlook for Mac. No Legacy Outlook for Mac.

If you use a third party OLM to EML converter you can drag-and-drop an EML file to import it into New Outlook for Mac.

Outlook for Mac 2024 (the “New Outlook”) cannot import .olm files directly. Importing .olm and .pst archive files is only supported in Legacy Outlook for Mac. To use the .olm from the older Mac, Legacy Outlook must be used on the new Mac to perform the import.

    Use this process:

    1. Ensure the .olm file from the old Mac is already exported and copied to the new Mac (for example, in Documents or Downloads).
    2. Open Legacy Outlook for Mac (not the New Outlook). The import feature is only available there.
    3. In Legacy Outlook, go to the Tools tab and select Import.
    4. In the Import window, choose Outlook for Mac archive file (.olm) and select Continue.
    5. Browse to the .olm file on the Mac and select Import.
    6. After import completes, the data appears under On My Computer in the navigation panes (Mail, Calendar, People, Tasks, Notes). If On My Computer is hidden, go to Outlook > Preferences > General and clear Hide On My Computer folders.

If Outlook 2024 is currently running in New Outlook mode and does not show these options, switch to Legacy Outlook (or install a Legacy-compatible Outlook version that supports .olm import), perform the import there, and then use the data from that profile.
