I am trying to setup OneDrive on new Macbook Air running the latest OS - i.e., MacOS 26.4.1. I've downloaded the latest version of OneDrive from the App Store.

Getting an error when going through the setup where it asks me which local folder I want to connect the OneDrive folder to.

Error message says:

OneDrive couldn't start. Please restart your computer and try again. Error codes: -93

I have tried to restart and also tried uninstalling and reinstalling OneDrive, but getting the same error each time when I go through the setup process.

OneDrive was working fine on my old Macbook Air.

    Hi @Adwait K

If you’re reinstalling OneDrive, make sure to download the latest standalone version for Mac from Microsoft’s official site rather than the App Store version.

Here are some steps you may try to fix Error -93 on new Mac setup:

    1.Clear cached credentials

Open Keychain Access and search for the following terms and delete all related entries:

    -Microsoft Office

    -ADAL

    -MSOID

    2.Reset Office identity

    -Quit all Office apps.

-In Finder, navigate to: ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/

    -Delete the Identity folder.

-Restart your Mac and sign in again.

If the issue persists, follow the instructions to Reset OneDrive - Microsoft Support.

    I hope this helps.
