Because the Clipchamp subscription is billed as a Microsoft subscription, cancellation and refunds must be handled through the Microsoft account Services & Subscriptions page or, if it was purchased through a third-party store, through that store’s support.
Use the following steps to troubleshoot and escalate:
- Verify the correct Microsoft account
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services.
- Sign out, then sign back in with every personal Microsoft account ever used with Clipchamp, Microsoft 365, Xbox, or the email registered in PayPal.
- For each account, check if Clipchamp or any unfamiliar subscription appears. If it does, select Manage and then Cancel.
- If you see Turn on recurring billing instead of Manage, that subscription is already set to expire and will not be charged again.
- Cancel the Clipchamp subscription (if it appears)
- If Clipchamp is listed, select Manage.
- On the next page, select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on what is shown).
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete cancellation.
- During cancellation, there may be an option to request a refund for recent charges.
- Check if Clipchamp is part of a Microsoft 365 subscription
- If Clipchamp Premium is included as part of a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription, canceling that Microsoft 365 subscription will also stop Clipchamp premium features.
- On the Services & Subscriptions page, look for Microsoft 365 subscriptions and use Manage → Cancel if you want to stop that subscription (and Clipchamp premium with it).
- If the subscription was purchased via a mobile app store
- If any of the Clipchamp/Microsoft subscriptions were purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, cancellation and refund must be requested from that store:
- For Google Play purchases, see Learn about Google Play refund policies.
- For Apple App Store purchases, request a refund from Apple support.
- If any of the Clipchamp/Microsoft subscriptions were purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, cancellation and refund must be requested from that store:
- If the subscription still does not appear but PayPal is being charged
- Collect evidence: PayPal transaction IDs, dates, and the exact merchant name shown on the PayPal charges.
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and use the support/contact options there (or the Get Help app on Windows) and provide:
- All Microsoft account email addresses that might be involved.
- Screenshots or details of the PayPal charges.
- Ask support to search for subscriptions by payment instrument (PayPal) and transaction IDs, not just by the signed-in account, and to escalate if the subscription is on a legacy billing platform that is not visible in the normal UI.
- Request a refund once the subscription is located
- Once the subscription is found and cancellation is initiated, follow the on-screen steps to request a refund where available.
- For Clipchamp and other Microsoft subscriptions, refunds are handled under the general Microsoft subscription refund process. In some countries, prorated refunds may be available depending on subscription length and local regulations.
If Microsoft support confirms that the subscription cannot be found in any Microsoft account or legacy billing system, use the PayPal dispute process with the transaction history as evidence that the merchant cannot locate or cancel the subscription.
